The Toronto Raptors came to be in 1995.They struggled through their early years which is not unusual for any new sports team. The team was put together to meet the expansion of basketball into Canada.As it turned out the Raptors became the only team to become part of the National Basketball Association.
Their eary games were played at the Toronto Dome, then moved onto the Air Canada Centre. After their slow start the team made the NBA playoffs for three straight years in a row from 2000 to 2002.
After 2002 though they hit a slump until finally in 2007 after some team player shuffling and some management replacement they once again began to make progress and made the first division title, the next season they made it to the playoffs once again.
