Understanding Canadian Football For Women
Although the Toronto Argonauts are a Canadian Team because they belong to the National Football League they have to play by the rules of the league.
It all begins with having eleven players to make up a team. They are allowed to either throw or carry the ball to get it past the oppositions goal posts.
In order to understand the game you have to understand the playing field.
The lines running down the sides of the field are sidelines
Then at each end the lines are end lines
Any action taking place outside of these lines is called out of bounds
there are lines across the field 5 yards apart.
The middle of the field is at the 55 yard line.
Almost at center field there are two perpendicular short lines calld inbound lines.Each time a play is started in begins here.
There are 12 players per team allowed on the field at a time.
